Christ King shows persistence

Winning the toss and electing to bowl first, Christ King could not do much damage with the ball, as Loyola College went on to post 241. Stefan Fernandopulle top scored with a remarkable 90 runs, and Hansaja Vishwajith giving support with 49.

By the time Loyola College declared it was quite evident that the match would end in a draw. But a persistent Loyola bowling attack led by Kavindu Kaveesha troubled the Christ King Batsman early on, sending Christ King 3 down for 36. But a well composed Rashmika Hirushan showed some resistance with the bat scoring a persevering knock to be unbeaten on 37.
