A disciplinary inquiry for Joketani Raikabula who was penalised by referee Irshard Card with a straight red card will be conducted today 6.00pm at the Havelocks Sports Club.
Speaking to ThePapare.Com the manager of the Upcountry Lions Mr. Hassen Singhawansa was of the view that there is video evidence to show that a straight red card was a bit too harsh, and that if at all it should have been a yellow card. However, he acknowledged the fact that the decision lies with the judiciary panel.
Mr. Singhawansa also called for more consistency in refereeing as that would help differentiate and understand decisions much better in the future.
