Former Kingswood College Principal and renown educationist Ranjith Chandrasekara has been elected as President of the Sri Lanka Schools’ Rugby Association (SLSRFA) at the Annual General Meeting that was held yesterday at the Royal College board room.

Ranjith Chandrasekara will succeed the current Royal College principal in the position and is no stranger to the schools rugby arena. Currently attached to the National Institute of Education (NIE), he served as Principal at Kingswood College during the period of 2000-2013. He was also the president of the SLSRFA during the years 2013 and 2014 as well.

Meanwhile, Nirodha Wijerama was voted in as secretary for the year and K. S. P. Karunaratne was re-elected as Treasurer.

The newly elected committee under the leadership of Ranjith Chandrasekara will look to continue what his predecessor, the current Royal College principal B. A. Abeyrathne and his team have achieved in the past two years.
