Sri Lankan hard-hitting batter Bhanuka Rajapaksa and spinner Maheesh Theekshana have signed up for the inaugural edition of the ZIM-AFRO T10 Tournament.
The new five-team tournament has been scheduled to be played from 20th to 29th July in Harare, Zimbabwe. The player draft of the competition will take place on the 2nd July.
Each of the five teams were given the opportunity to select four marquee players ahead of the player draft. Cape Town Samp Army, one of the five franchises taking part in the competition has picked Rajapaksa and Theekshana as marquee players along with Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Karim Janat.

“As a franchisee we are expanding globally and are delighted to have Maheesh Theekshana and Bhanuka Rajapaksa onboard with us along with Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Karim Janat for the upcoming ZIM-AFROT10” Ritesh Patel, the owner of Samp Army said.
