President’s College Mahara and Sri Parakrama National School Kobeigane advanced to the final of the Under 13 Division 3 Inter Schools Cricket Tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association with sponsor Sri Lanka Cricket.
Sri Parakrama National School Kobeigane recorded first innings win against Badulla Central College and President’s College Mahara won the first innings against Ananda College Colombo ‘C’ in the semi finals.
510 teams from the whole Island participated in the tournament. Chamindu Karunathilake, Dimuth Nethsara and Adeesha Lakshan were the top performers of the victorious Sri Parakrama NS Kobeigane. Nethsara scored unbeaten 65 runs, Lakshan scored 50 runs and Karunathilaka claimed 5 wickets for 31 runs.
Mahith Sasmitha (72), Oshan Damsara (52*) and Mihisara Oshan (27 & 3/28) starred with bat and ball for the victorious President’s College Mahara in the other semifinal.
