Lockie Ferguson, Ish Sodhi and Thisara Perera were the big movers in the latest MRF Tyres ICC ODI Rankings.

Perera jumped 22 places in the batsmen’s rankings, and sat at No.65 with a career-best tally of 509 points, after amassing 240 runs in the three ODIs against New Zealand, including a riveting knock of 140 in just 74 deliveries in the second ODI in Mount Maunganui.

Among the bowlers, both Sodhi and Ferguson were level on the 31st position. Sodhi claimed eight wickets in the series, and jumped 26 spots reach No.31. Meanwhile, Ferguson, the fast bowler, picked up six wickets in two innings to rise 12 spots.

Despite the series win, it wasn’t all good news for Kane Williamson, the New Zealand captain. He tallied 132 runs in three innings, including two half-centuries, but it wasn’t enough to keep him in the top 10 of the batsmen’s rankings, with South Africa’s Quinton de Kock taking his place at No.10.

Danushka Gunathilaka was a significant gainer, though, rising 11 places to No.82 in the batters’ rankings after scores of 43, 71 and 31.
