Mahanama College top order batsman Pavan Devinda stole the show today during a match played against Dharmapala College Pannipitiya.
Mahanama College winning the toss decided to bat first and managed to notch up 301 runs for just 4 wickets in 63 over’s when the skipper called for a declaration. Devinda who has been in superb form this season managed to achieve an unbeaten double ton in just 186 balls which speaks volumes about his capabilities as a batsman.
His superb knock was inclusive of 8 towering maximums and 26 fours. It was a pure carnage by the Mahanama batsman as he took the Dharmapala bowlers to the sword with his aggressive batting display. Thanula Wickramasinghe also played his part scoring 40 runs to help his team post a formidable total.
For Dharmapala Tharindu Danushka was the only bowler who managed to get some sort of purchase off the wicket grabbing 2 for 21.
