Pakistan name unchanged T20 squad for New Zealand series

Pakistan retained the 15-man squad that whitewashed Australia 3-0 for the forthcoming three-match T20I series against New Zealand, starting on October 31.

The selection panel headed by Inzamam ul Haq took the decision to not make any changes to the squad after consulting Sarfraz Ahmed, the present captain, and Mickey Arthur, the head coach.

Pakistan won the three-match rubber by the margins of 66 runs, 11 runs and 33 runs. Babar Azam and Mohammad Hafeez impressed with the bat, notching up 163 and 111 runs at an average of 81.5 and 55.5 respectively. Meanwhile, Shadab Khan (six wickets), Imad Wasim (four wickets) and Shaheen Shah Afridi (four wickets) put up noteworthy performances with the ball in hand.

Abu Dhabi will host the first match of the series against New Zealand, while the other two games will be held in Dubai on November second and fourth respectively.
