The last unofficial ODI in Pakistan ‘A’ team’s tour of Sri Lanka got washed away in Dambulla without even the first innings coming to an end.

The second ODI too was washed away due to rain without even a ball being bowled. Accordingly, Pakistan ‘A’ sealed the ODI leg of the tour as 1-0.

The visitors thrashed the Lankans in the first ODI with a 6-wicket win on the 11th of this month.

Today, 15th November, saw Sri Lankans winning the toss and opting to bowl first, only to see 32 overs of play in the game.

Thanks to two identical half-centuries from the opener Omair Yousuf (59) and the Skipper Saud Shakeel (59), the Pakistanis were able to post 167 runs for the loss of 4 wickets before the heavens opened up.

Off spinner, Ashain Daniel, who had a decent outing even in the first ODI, managed to grab 2 wickets in this game too.

It is noteworthy that these fixtures were adjusted prior to the ODI leg to avoid washouts, yet the weather has managed to spoil the party somehow.

This was the first ‘A’ team tour that Sri Lanka took part in since June 2018.
