The Sri Lankan talented and reliable youth player Nipuni Fernando was adjudged as the Rising Star of the tournament. She scored 4 valuable goals in the campaign while she created numerous scoring opportunities and goal assists for the fellow players.
She is a proud product of Holy Family Convent, Wennappuwa and currently represents Wennappuwa Hockey Association. Last year she was honoured with the Best Player Award at the Combined School Inter District Championship due to her versatile skills and unmatched brilliant performance. Nipuni, who is still in the schooling age will definitely be a great prospect in future for Sri Lanka to uplift the standard of the game.

Dazzling performance of the Singapore Women’s National Hockey outfit, secured them the championship of AHF Hockey Cup 2025 in the thrilling final which ended in 1 – 1 draw after full time. During the shoot-out, Singapore edged out formidable Chinese Taipei side by 3 – 2 score margin.
