New Zealand stunned India in the opening World Twenty20 group match, defeating the hosts and title favourites by 47 runs on Tuesday.
New Zealand posted a modest 126 runs after opting to bat first in Nagpur, but India were bamboozled by the Kiwis’ spinners and were bowled out for just 79 runs in 18.1 overs.
India were red-hot favourites to win the World T20 title, but they have now lost five of their six T20 internationals against the Black Caps, with the other being rained off.
