NCC beat Ports Authority by five wickets

In-form Niroshan Dickwella and Angelo Perera hit imposing half centuries as NCC sealed their third win in the tournament when they beat Ports Authority by five wickets in their Premier Limited overs cricket match played at Colts ground today. 

Dickwella who made 133 in the opener against Bloomfield and 40 runs against Chilaw, hit 87 off 108 balls with two sixes and six fours Perera contributed 66 runs as they won with ten overs to spare. The pair added 122 runs in where Perera, the former St. Peter’s skipper hit six fours and a six in his 77 ball innings. 

Ports Authorities left arm fast bowler Chaminda Bandara claimed four wickets. 

Batting first Ports Authority were bowled out for 194 runs where Yashoda Lanka hit a top score of 37 while Isuru Udana (34) Gayashan Weerasekara (31) contributed with some useful runs.  Spinners Tharindu Kaushal and Sohan Boraless took three wickets each while paceman Chaminda Vidanapathirana also took three wickets as they combined to restrict Port Authority.
