Defending champions of under 20 Throwball team of Isipathana College and Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya emerged champions at the recently concluded National Schools Western Province under 20 throwball championship which was held at Mahamathya Vidyalaya Athurugiriy. The championship was worked of on the 23rd and 24th of February.
In boys segment 25 schools & girls segment 22 schools teams participated in under 17 & under 20 age group categories with 500 young school players.
Under 20 boys results
The boys title honours last year Isipathana college defeated Galahitiyawa MMV Ganemulla comprehensively 2-0 straight in the final to claim the title. 3rd place winners Hemamali MV Ganemulla defeated MMV Ingiriy as 2-1
Under 20 girl’s results
The last year title favorites Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya defeated Horana Thakshila MMV 2 sets to 1 to grab out the final title. 3rd place winners Owitigama MV beat Rathnavali BV Gampaha 2 sets to nil.

I’m happy to win the about major title under 20 championships as a defending champion. Last year we are the all island A division runners up and we missed out the National schools championship. However 2019 main target is to achieve the under 20 all format titles and becoming triple champs.
