Milka De Silva, the only Gymnast to represent Sri Lanka in Artistic Gymnastics at the Olympics, won gold at the 2021 All-Japan Senior and Master’s Gymnastics Championships in Yamagata.
De Silva, along with her 5 teammates won Gold in the Team event of the meet.
The 18-year-old has had a landmark year so far, having competed in the Olympics Games in Tokyo in July.
Although she couldn’t perform her best at the games, she got right back to training in Tokyo, where she currently resides on a Sports scholarship which ultimately led to this Gold medal.
Milka has also started her high intensity training for the 2024 Paris Games, keeping her focus and sights on the prize.
