Prabath Manuranga did well to win a gold medal for Sri Lanka on the first day of the wushu championship of the 3rd Lusofonia Games being held at the indoor stadium in Peddem, India on Monday.
S.M. Senarath won a silver medal while Suranjith Dunusinghe and Shalitha Senanayake added two more bronze medals.
Manuranga won the gold in the men’s Nan Quan event while Senarath won the silver in the Taiji Quan event.
Dunusinghe lost his semifinals in the 65kg weight category Sanda event while Shalitha Senanayake lost his semifinals in the 70kg Sanda event.
