Former Sri Lankan batter Malinda Warnapura has been appointed Director of Coaching and Development of Johnsonville Cricket Club in New Zealand.
Warnapura, who had held various coaching roles in Sri Lankan cricket, recently worked as the Assistant Coach of Sri Lanka Women’s Cricket Team.
Warnapura, an ICC Level 3 accredited coach, will be Johnsonville Cricket Club’s first-ever full-time Director of Coaching and Development and will sign a three-year contract with the club.
The 44-year-old Warnapura had represented Sri Lankan in 14 Tests and 3 ODIs.
