League winning captain back to Isipathana

Henry TerranceSri Lanka national fifteens player and league winning captain Henry Terrance will re-join the Isipathana College coaching unit after spending a stint at St. Peter’s College ahead of the Schools Rugby League of 2018.

A one-time league title winning captain who turned things around for Havelock Sports Club in the 2012/13 season, Henry was a phenomenal forwards player in the local circuit representing CR & FC, Navy SC, Havelock SC and finally Police.

Taking up the whistle, Henry assumed duties as the head coach at Wesley in the year 2013 and in the very same year the Wesleyites under the leadership of Rahul De Silva went on to win their first silverware in the sport winning the President’s trophy.

After serving in the position of head coach for three years, Henry took on the role of being assistant coach working with the forwards for Isipathana College in the year 2016. The team that year went on to win both the Singer Schools Rugby League as well as the President’s trophy remaining unbeaten.

Moving forward, the Peterites received the services of the former Tuskers player and he is back at Isipathana to take on the post of Assistant Coach.

Isipathana College finished runners-up last season under new coach Lasintha De Costa and with the inclusion of Henry, their coaching unit makes a perfect combination.

Meanwhile, the Isiapthana College rugby committee has retained the services of their head coach Lasintha De Costa for the upcoming 2018 season along with trainer Benedict Perera.
