Zimbabwe Coach tests positive

Zimbabwe Head Coach Lalchand Rajput has tested positive for Covid-19.

Rajput has reportedly tested positive on arrival to Colombo earlier today during Rapid Antigen Tests administered to the Zimbabwe contingent and will go into isolation. 

Reports also suggest that all other members of the touring party have returned negative test results.

Rajput is a former international cricketer, having represented India in two Tests and four ODIs from 1985 to 1987.

Zimbabwe are scheduled to play 3 ODIs in Sri Lanka, which will count towards the ICC ODI Super League. The games will be day-night affairs scheduled for 16, 18 and 21 January at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy.

Craig Ervine will lead the 15-member squad.
