Sri Lankan stylish left-hand batter Lahiru Thirimanne has decided to retire from International Cricket with immediate effect.

Thirimanne had made this announcement on his social media handles a short while ago.
Thirimanne made his international debut in ODIs at the age of 21, and in January 2010 and followed it with Tests and T20Is in 2011 and 2012 respectively.

In a career that spanned over 13 years, the left-hander played 44 Tests, 127 ODIs and 26 T20Is for Sri Lanka. He was a member of the 2014 T20 World Cup-winning Sri Lanka Team.
