Sri Lankan wicket-keeper batter Kusal Perera is among an impressive array of players available for the KFC BBL|15 and Weber WBBL|11 Overseas Player Draft on June 19 when the first lists of nominations were revealed today.
Pakistan’s left-arm speedster Shaheen Afridi is also certain to cause huge interest among BBL clubs with Brisbane Heat holding the number one pick and having the first chance to take the fast-bowling sensation.
Afridi’s fellow Pakistan stars Mohammad Rizwan, Haris Rauf and Shadab Khan are other high-profile players who have put their names forward for selection for KFC BBL|15.
Pakistan have a big gap in the ICC’s Future Tours Programme from November to February, making it the perfect opportunity for their leading players to feature in this year’s Big Bash.
BBL|15 draft nominees: Kusal Perera (Sri Lanka), Sam Curran (England), Alex Hales (England), Lockie Ferguson (New Zealand), Tim Southee (New Zealand), Shaheen Afridi (Pakistan), Shadab Khan (Pakistan), Haris Rauf (Pakistan), Mohammad Rizwan (Pakistan), Shamar Joseph (West Indies)
Indeed, every player named into today’s list of nominations is available for the BBL finals, with most available for at least six regular season matches.
