The knockout stage of the 32nd Singer-MCA Super Premier League 2025 has been finalized, promising an exciting finish to one of the premier tournaments in Sri Lanka’s mercantile cricket calendar.
A total of six teams competed in the first round – Hayleys ‘A’, CDB ‘A’, HNB ‘A’, Fairfirst Insurance, BBK Partnership, and Maliban Biscuits ‘A’. After a competitive round-robin stage, two teams have already secured their direct passage into the semi-finals.

CDB ‘A’ dominated the first round in impressive style, winning all five of their games to finish at the top of the points table. Maliban Biscuits ‘A’ followed closely behind, claiming second place with four wins from five outings. Both teams will now await their opponents in the semi-final stage.

The battle for the remaining two semi-final berths will be decided through the quarter-finals, where the other four teams will face off. The winners of these knockout encounters will progress to meet CDB ‘A’ and Maliban Biscuits ‘A’ in the semi-finals, setting up what promises to be a thrilling race to the title.
