Tissa Central College registered a thrilling win over Kalutara Vidyalaya in their 15th Limited Overs Encounter played today (1st June) at De Zoysa Cricket Stadium in Moratuwa.
Due to the prevailing rainy conditions, the game was reduced to a 42-over contest. Tissa Central College won the toss and invited Kalutara Vidyalaya to take the first lease of the wicket.

They managed to put only 147 runs on the board with Sheersha Tharaka top scoring with 61-ball 41 runs. Tharuka Samanjith, Hashen Imsara and Malindu Dilshan bagged 2 wickets each for Tissa Central College.
Though, the target of 148 looked easy on paper, Tissa Central College had to work hard for their runs in the run-chase as they crossed over the line in the 41st over with only one wicket remaining.

The middle-order batter Malindu Dilshan was the chief run-getter for the victorious Tissa Central College as he made 37 runs off 46 balls with 3 fours and a six. Tharuka Samanjith and Nadun Asela also chipped in with crucial 29 runs each.
