Mr. Jonathan Kaplan renown IRB Referee  and most capped International Test Referee of all time (68 Caps) will be conducting a Symposium in Rugby Refereeing and Referee Management on Thursday 6th June, 2013 at 4.00 pm at Auditorium, National Olympic House, No. 100/9F, Independence Avenue, Colombo 7.

Your are kindly requested to attend this very important Symposium.

Born in Durban 7-11-1966 , eldest of 3 brothers . Went to Carmel College and finished schooling at King David Linksfield in 1984 ( 2 distinctions ). Did National Service in Pretoria for 2 years Went to UCT – B. Soc. Sci majoring in Economics and Psychology . Also did a post grad Dip in Marketing Management from UNISA . Been a rugby referee for 30 years from my debut in 1984 when I was at school , since which I have refereed 1018 games .  

List of achievements are as follows :

·         Most capped international rugby referee of all time ( 68 Test Caps )

·         Attended 4 Rugby World Cups 1999/2003/2007/2011 refereeing 13 matches ( SA record) including semi-final in 2007

·         Refereed more Bledisloe Cup Tests (8) and 6  Nations Tests (17) than anyone in history

·         Refereed most Currie Cup games (150) in history including 5 Finals

·         Refereed 105 Super rugby games ( Record ) including 3 Finals

·         Refereed 411 first class games ( World record )

·         Longest ever serving member on SA National Panels – 21 years

·         SA referee of the year 4 times
