After a series of thrilling races with nail-biting finishes, experienced racer Ashan Silva claimed the title of the Best Driver, while another young but highly talented prospect, Jacques Gunawardane, went to clinch the glory as the Best Rider of the day.

This is the 8th edition of the Sri Lanka Super Series 2025 racing series, and it features a variety of events across multiple locations, including Nuwara Eliya, Giriulla, and Katukurunda, apart from this location.

Sri Lanka Association of Racing Drivers and Riders (SLARDAR) unparalleled expertise in crafting gravel racing tracks and orchestrating flawless race events was featured in this extravagant and premier racing event of the country.

Longstanding champion Ashan Silava clinched both races in the “Group SL GT Cars – 3500 cc” category, which is the elite powerhouse segment of the competition. High-riding young talent Jacques Gunawardena sealed both of the races in the “Motorcross Bikes 100 – 125 cc (2T) & 175 – 250 cc (4T)” segment where the motorbikes with the highest cubic capacity were featured.

The digital platform Betss.com has stepped into the limelight as the title sponsor of the Sri Lanka Super Series 2025 by highlighting their commitment to elevating Sri Lankan motorsports by supporting local talent in the local racing arena. Further, ESDEE Battery Sri Lanka Insurance, Orzone Mineral Water Exports, Keels Crest, Lemonade (Elephant House), Wonder, the clothing brand “Rough”, EBC Solar by E. B. Creasy & Co. Plc, BIC Razors and Ninehearts had contributed their valuable sponsorships as the co-sponsors.

Further, it should be mentioned the commitment of Mahameruwa Leisure Chairman Mahesh Wijerathne, who owns the only gravel racetrack in Sri Lanka, Mahameruwa, where the races took place. With the collaboration of SLARDAR, he had carried out a remarkable job to elevate this track to international standards. At the end of the day, the rallycross lived up to every bit of its billing by providing a thrill and excitement to the fans, though few riders and drivers were injured during the event through accidents.
