The Colombo Rowing Club is proud to announce its hosting of the 73rd annual Amateur Rowing Association of the East (ARAE / the Far East Amateur Rowing Association (FEARA) Regatta will begin from 11 to 13 December at Beria Lake with Participants from over six.
Over 150 participants will vie for honors’ across the categories of ARAE Men &Women, FEARA Masters (over 35) Men &Women and FEARA Super Masters (over 50) Mixed.
Commenting, Lushantha de Silva, president of the Colombo Rowing Club said “Since 1933 the ARAE has been promoting and fostering the sport of rowing. As the Colombo Rowing Club celebrates its Sesquicentennial (150) Anniversary, it is indeed with great pride that we welcome all the participants to Sri Lanka. I look forward to three days of competitive rowing in the finest traditions of the Colombo Rowing Club.”
Maheel Gamage, the Regatta secretary said “The Colombo Rowing Club is ready to host a regatta of International standard with all arrangements in place. Three days of tough racing awaits, as we once again celebrate the rapid growth of rowing, a sport that not only builds character but also promotes friendly completion on a regional basis.”
The Colombo Rowing Club invites all members of the general public keen to discover and experience the thrill of rowing join in the action on the final events day Saturday 13th December.
