Gateway College, Colombo mirrored their nail-biting win against Ilma International Girls School in 2018 in the previous edition, to clinch the coveted title for the 2nd consecutive year.

Along with Gateway College is Ilma International Girls School who will lead the charts as reigning runners-up. The latter let the title slip away two years in a row, both to Gateway College and will return with vengeance to try and steal it away.

Close to 10 teams will be in contention to give the two schools a fight. The tournament will be played in Round-robin format in 2 groups with the group toppers advancing to the knockout stages for the semifinals and finals.

To allow more match play between the lower-tiered schools of the Group stages, the TISSL committee brought forth a new concept last year to play a ‘Plate Winners’ segments for the 4 teams that finish 3rd and 4th in each group which will apply this year as well.
