India tour of Sri Lanka itinerary confirmed; Sanga to play last match at P. Sara Oval

The Indian Test team will arrive at Sri Lanka on August 3rd for the three-match Test series which is scheduled to start on August 12th at Galle. 

The neighbours will start off their tour with a three-day warm-up game followed by three Test matches. Originally the tour was scheduled to start on 18th August but due to the General Elections on 17th August and due to a request by BCCI, the itinerary was brought forward. The batting legend, Kumar Sangakkara will play his final Test match at P. Sara Oval stadium after he announced he will retire after the second Test match against India. 

According to the ICC rankings, India is at 5th position with 97 points while Sri Lanka is languishing at 7th position with 92 points.

2nd Test - 20th - 24th August - Tamil Union (Oval). Colombo
