Kazakhstan made almost a clean sweep in the ASBC Asian U22 and Youth Championships finals so far, as they have won all the women’s gold medals.
Sri Lanka’s rising talent, Hiruni Wijesinghe was Sri Lanka’s only contender to feature in today’s finals. She met Kazakhstan’s strong player Alina Kudaigenova in the women’s light welterweight (63kg) class. Hiruni’s opponent was exceptional throughout the game which lasted just for a minute as she was technically knocked out. Therefore Hiruni had to be satisfied with silver apart from the 18 bronze medals tally of the hosts.

In the first bout of the day, India’s Kumari Chanchal battled with Kazakhstan’s Ayim Tankibayeva at the women’s youth minimumweight (48kg) category final and the referee counted the Indian twice as the Kazakh clinched the gold with ease. Then at the light flyweight (50kg) final, India’s Kashish Malik fought with Kazakhstan’s Sila Bibolsynkyzy and the Kazakh lass edged out the Indian opponent after a thrilling fight to bag another gold to their medal tally.
In the final of the flyweight (52kg) category, Thailand’s Saranporn Phonpoon met Kazakhstan’s Rakhmina Abdumezhitova and the Kazakh lady managed to clinch the gold with her timely and unexpected uppercuts by surprising her Thai opponent.

Next, Vietnam’s Thom Vu Thi fought against Kazakhstan’s Zhanel Imantayeva in the bantamweight (54kg) category final. Though the Thai lady launched an energetic attack while keeping a distance in the defence, the well experienced Kazakh lass came back strongly to outclass her opponent.
Then, Kazakhstan’s Aknur Tursyngali overpowered Vietnam’s Nguyen Thi Bich in the attacks and she had the world-class footwork in defense at the women’s featherweight (57kg) final to clinch the gold.
In the women’s lightweight (60kg) category final, Kazakhstan’s ASBC Asian Junior Champion Tolganay Kassymkhan battled with Kyrgyzstan’s Adelia Asylbek Kyzy. There the Kazakh shocked her Kyrgyz opponent with strong and accurate jabs and the referee went to an early stoppage in that unmatched fight.

Thereafter, Kazakhstan’s next medal hope, Akbota Yessimbekova defeated their Junior World Champion Aisulu Mukhit with ease to win the welterweight (66kg) category. Then Kazakhstan’s Mariya Sidorenko fought in the middleweight (70kg) category final, and the Kazakh was victorious over her Vietnam opponent after a short fight
Further Kazakhstan’s rising star Zarina Tolabay and Kyrgyzstan’s Zarina Asanova met in the final of the middleweight (75kg) and Asanova injured in the second round and therefore the gold medal went to Tolybay,
In the final of the heavyweight (81kg) weight class, Kazakhstan’s Kuralay Yeginbaikyzy beat India’s Anushka Sharma with a ease. Then, in the final of heavyweight (81+ kg) weight class Khazakastan’s Sabina Zarlsyl won the title against India’s Priyal with a knock-out win to make a clean sweep of golds for Kazakhstan.
In the men’s youth minimum weight category (48kg) final, Kazakhstan’s Nurkhan Kumarbekov had a good challenge from Saudi Arabia’s Feras Alsubhi, but the Kazakh won the first Men’s gold medal within two rounds.

Kazakhstan’s Dossymzhan Tangatar delivered an exceptional attack against Mongolia’s Tenuun Chuluunbaatar and the referee stopped the flyweight (51kg) final after repeated standings counts by awarding another gold to Kazakhstan.
In the bantamweight (54kg) category final, Tajikistan’s Biloldjon Iksanov, met with Kazakhstan’s Aldiyar Bakhadur and the Kazakh boxer’s agile footwork, and powerful punches secured him the gold at the top fight of the day.
In the featherweight (57kg) final, Kazakhstan’s Nygman Nygmet outclassed Kyrgyzstan’s first youth male finalist, Daniil Bulavkin after an intense battle to stamp their dominance.
Kazakhstan’s Adilet Tortubek fought with India’s Mohit in the finals of the men’s lightweight (60kg) and the Indiand received a few heavy jabs from opponent by shattering the Indian hopes of a gold medal.
In the light welterweight (63.5kg) final, Kyrgyzstan’s Mukhammad Alimbekov gave an excellent fight to Kazakhstan’s Mukhit Nurkabyluly, but the Kazakh managed to edge out his opponent with the advantage of judges scores to seal another gold.
Tajikistan’s Mukhammadsulton Sultonov tried to use his reach advantage against Kazakhstan’s Sultan Turdaly in the welterweight (67kg) final. But the Kazakh bravely moved closer and delivered a few heavy punches to clinch another gold for Kazakhstan.
It was a strange final in the light middleweight (71kg) category as there wasn’t any representation from Kazakhstan. Hence Kyrgyzstan’s ASBC Asian Junior Champion Akhmadi Arvaz was beaten by the heavy puncher Alisherikhudo Kholov of Tajikistan.
In the middleweight (75kg) final, Tajikistan’s Abubakr Ghafurov fought with Kazakhstan’s Zhassulan Berdaly. The Tajik came with some heavy hooks in the closely contested game to clinch the gold by handing over the first upset of the day for the Kazakhs.
Kazakhstan’s Igor Solovyev featured in the light heavyweight (80kg) final with Afghanistan’s first finalist, Firdous Najibi and he dominated the fight and earned RSC victory in the second round. Kyrgyzstan’s Aziret Avtandilov who eliminated a Kazakh boxer in the semis faced against India’s Yash Kumar at the cruiserweight (86kg) final. Though the Indian tried his level best to clinch a gold, the Kyrgese attack was too strong to him.
Kazakhstan’s Rassul Assankhanov dominated in the heavyweight (92kg) final against Afghanistan’s Oman Hotak to get a technical knock-out win after referee counts. Kazakhstan’s Beksultan Kairatuly clinched a gold in the last bout of the day against Kyrgyzstan’s Karimzhan Imenkhodzhayev at the super heavyweight (+92kg) final.
