FFSL CEO Anura Silva Assaulted

Anura Silva, the CEO of the Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL), has been assaulted by an unidentified person close to the Football Federation headquarters.

 

The incident has happened at around 7.15 pm Wednesday night after he had come down to get in to the vehicle after a discussion with the FFSL President, regarding Sunday’s Annual General Meeting Anura Silva received a blow to his head from a hockey stick and was rushed to the Colombo National Hospital.

“We had meeting with all the workers. After that we had another discussion which included Anura Silva. When he went to get into his vehicle only this incident has happened. He had a blow to his head, blood was everywhere. I took him to the National Hospital and got him admitted.” Football Federation President, Ranjith Rodrigo told ThePapare.com
