Bradby Shield winning Coach and Captain, Dushanth Lewke has been given the nod with the top Job at Royal Rugby for the year 2025.
Having first joined the Royal College coaching staff in 2012, Lewke was promoted to Head Coach in 2018. Since taking over the top job, he has enjoyed an illustrious tenure, overseeing Royal College Rugby, including league-winning teams and multiple Bradby-winning sides.
A distinguished Old Boy of Royal College, Lewke achieved many milestones in his playing career as a loose forward for school, club, and country.
Lewke won the Schools’ Rugby League in his maiden season at the helm, taking Royal College to victory in 2018 and retaining the title in 2019. This was undoubtedly a standout achievement for him and for Royal College.
After being promoted to Head Coach at CR & FC, Lewke led the team to glory, guiding them to a League title in 2024, breaking a two-decade-long drought for the Club Rugby League title at Longdon Place.
Considering these achievements, The Vice Captain of the record-breaking Royal Team of 2002 and the coach of Royal College’s 7 Bradby wins in a row, the Royal College Rugby Board has decided to retain Dushanth Lewke in the top job for another season, with hopes of turning their fortunes around in 2025.
