The much anticipated Dialog Under 19 Division 1 Schools Rugby League 2023 organized by Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association (SLSRFA) is set to commence in between 12th and 18th June.

The Division 1 Segment A of the competition will feature 14 teams divided into two groups of 7 according to their respective rankings at the end of the 1st round of 2022 season.

Segment A of the competition where the ‘crème de la crème’ of the schools’ teams compete for the coveted title of ‘School’s Rugby Champions’ will consists of a seven-week first round in which each team will play six games and will have a bye week. The competition will then move to a Super Round where the top two teams from each group will play against the top two ranked teams of the opposite group to determine the Champions of the competition.

While SLSRFA has confirmed that they will reduce the number of schools in the top segment to 12 teams from next season, the promotion/demotion process is yet to be finalized.

With the two groups in Segment A consisting of an odd number of 7 teams in a group, each group will see three games being played every week with one of the teams receiving a bye. The games will be scheduled as below according to their standings in the group while the home team and the exact dates are still to be confirmed by the respective schools.

Both Segment B & C of the top division will feature 12 teams that will be divided into two groups of six according to their standings at the end of last season.
