The skipper Dhananjaya De Silva’s match-winning knock guides Jaffna to the final of National Super League 50 over tournament.
Galle vs Kandy
Having won the toss Kandy managed to put on a mammoth score on the board thanks to the record-breaking partnership set by Niroshan Dickwella and Lahiru Udara. The duo added 233 runs for the opening wicket which is the 4th highest List A opening partnership for Sri Lanka.

The target of 344 was a tough ask for Galle but they managed to give a good fight with the bat posting 277 runs in 47.1 overs. The all-rounder Kavishka Anjula coming to bat at 7, produced a stunning batting display scoring 90 runs off 71 balls with 12 fours and 3 sixes.
The 20-year old off-spinner Ashian Daniel was the pick of the bowlers for Galle as he snared 4 scalps for 46 runs in the allotted 10 overs.

Jaffna vs Colombo
After being put in to bat first, strong Colombo outfit struggled to put on a competitive total on the board as they were restricted to 195 runs in the allotted 50 overs. The right-hander Roshen Silva playing his 2nd game of the tournament top-scored for Colombo with an unbeaten knock of 64 runs.
Though 196 was an easy target on paper, Colombo faced an early setback losing a few wickets but the skipper Dhananjaya De Silva held his nerve to guide his side home. De Silva top-scored with a knock of 79 runs off 93 balls with 8 fours.
With this win, Jaffna managed to qualify for the final of the tournament where they will face Kandy. The final of the inaugural National Super League 50 over tournament will be held on the 19th February at Pallekele.
