Dharmaraja overcome DS Senanayake in a convincing victory

Dharmaraja kicked off the game and started in sublime fashion scoring just few minutes into the game. They had the numbers to create an overlap and the try was scored through P.T Bandara and extras were added by Hurigolla.

DS Senanayake immediately replied with a stunning try of their own where they built up patiently and eventually scored by Mayon Jayawardena and extras were added by Suraj Sandaru. Again the Rajans came back and this went on as both teams clashed head to head. Dharmaraja scored through Pilapitiya who stepped past three DS players and the extras were added by Pilipitiya himself. Just before half time Rajans who had plenty of possession deservedly scored another try when Nawalage crossed over and extras were added by Pilapitiya. At the breather Dharmaraja led 17 points 5 against DS Senanayake.

Dharmaraja started off the second half continuing from their first half performance, dominating proceedings and scoring through Nawalage. Extras were added by Pilapitiya. DS was trying to get back in the game in the second half and had plenty of possession and with a patient build up scored through Suraj Sandaru and he added the extras as well. A couple of minutes later, Suraj Sandaru put a penalty through the sticks to take the scores 24-18 in favour of the Rajans. The fans were into witness a thrilling finish but that is where the boys from Kandy showed their class and when the Colombo lads lost their skipper for 10 minutes to the sin bin, the Rajans took full advantage and scored through a quick tap taken passing three defenders to score in the opposite half through Pilapitiya and extras were added by Pilapitiya himself.  With that the Kandy boys ran out deserving winners over their compatriots 31-20.
