It is with deep regret Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to announce the demise of P.D. Nimal.
Nimal was the Baggage Master of the Sri Lankan team for the past 15 years and was the most loved by all the team members for his untiring efforts that he dedicated to the team.
He was also affectionately known as the Teams Unofficial Assistant Fielding Coach and was always seen on the field with the team during fielding practice sessions.
Nimal was an honest and hardworking team member who was always willing to do anything for the benefit of the team and the game of cricket in the country.
P.D. Nimal will be missed by all the cricketers young and old who played for SSC and Sri Lanka.
