The first day’s play in the 1st Test between Pakistan and Sri Lanka was washed out due to bad weather on Wednesday at Galle International Stadium.

The rain clouds were hovering above the ground throughout the day since morning and the match officials, Richard Illingworth and Paul Reiffel decided to call off play at 2.00 pm local time.
The players from both teams did not even waste their time coming to the grounds due to wet conditions.

According to weather reports, these prevailing showers are expected for another two days. If weather gods allow, play will start early on Thursday morning at 9.45 am.
