The Dialog Club rugby season for the years 2015/2016 is expected to kick off during early October and the transfer market has taken a different outlook as teams are currently busy with transfer talks with players strengthening their respective teams for the upcoming season.

Here we take a look at the transfers to CR & FC

Jason Dissanayaka – Navy SC to CR & FC

The former Vidyartha skipper and lock forward Jason Dissanayake will be CR’s newest addition in the front row coming from Navy SC. Jason who captained his alma-mater in 2012 took his team to the best ever achievement in the top division before his team was accused of fielding over age players. Representing Sri Lanka from the very beginning in the Under 20 ASIAD, Jason went on to wear both sevens and fifteen’s jersey for the country in the past four years.

Prince Chamara – From Army SC to CR & FC

The 20 year old former Science College player Prince Chamara will wear the CR & FC colours this year having represented Army last season. Playing at full back, Chamara was the key standout for the soldiers with his boots and will be expecting to do the same in his new club. He was the stand out for the Science outfit in 2014 and came into the ranks of the highest point scorers in the season.

Sashan Mohammed – From Army SC to CR & FC

The speedster from Trinity College will be looking at greater prospects with his new club this season as he is most likely tipped to wear the #11 jersey. Sashan who started his club career with Up Country Sports Club later moved to Army SC last season. Sashan also was a part of the Under 20 contingent that toured Thailand for the Junior ASIAD in 2011.

Bhanuka Nanayakkara – From Army SC to CR & FC

CR & FC will have a complete three quarter line up as Bhanuka fits the missing piece in the CR & FC line for the upcoming games this season. A proud product of St. Peter’s College who captained the side in 2011, Bhanuka was a splendid to watch during the schoolboy days and later excelled in the game when he moved in to the Army Sports club.

Supun Warnakulasuriya to CR & FC

The leading try scorer in the recently concluded school rugby season and the chief architect of the much acclaimed rolling maul that gave Royal the edge to remain undefeated and win the league title, will be the new kid for the Longden place club for the upcoming season. Supun scored 16 tries over the season.  It will be interesting to see where Supun will fit in the CR & FC team taking into consideration his abilities as a hooker and #8.

Rumor has it that CR & FC have completed their fair share of dealings in the pre-season ahead of the Club Sevens title and Kandy Sports Club are yet to decide when to finalize their dealings as the season is still two-three months away.
