The Sri Lankan Life Saving team, consisting of 10 lifesavers, has departed for Wales to participate in the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) Commonwealth Lifesaving Championships 2025. This competition, organized by the RLSS, will take place at the Wales National Pool in Swansea from the 10th to the 13th of July, 2025.
The Sri Lankan men’s team is led by Nimuth Perera, and includes Hiruna De Silva, Chris Pavithra, Tashan De Silva, and Meedum Mendis.
The women’s team is captained by Sinali Rajapaksa, with team members Vinuki Perera, Sandali Sumathipala, Kalashi Ranabahu, and Isindi Vithulya.
This event will serve as the final qualifying opportunity for the World Championships, scheduled to be held in August in China.
