CSK now have to extend their quarantine period for another week. The Super Kings reached Dubai on August 21 and was already undergoing the mandatory six-day quarantine period put in place by the IPL.

Although the names are unknown, it is reported that an Indian national player is among at least 10 members of the Chennai Super Kings contingent who have tested positive for Covid-19 in Dubai. This seems to be the reason behind CSK delaying the start of their practice by a few days, originally scheduled to start today (28th)
