Havelock Sports Club brought Air Force’s unbeaten run to a halt, CR & FC ran riot in Welisara, Police registered a thumping first win of the season, while CH & FC produced a stunning late comeback to hold defending champions Kandy Sports Club in a pulsating Game of the Week at Nittawela.
Havelocks End Air Force’s Perfect Run at Park Club

Havelock Sports Club produced a disciplined and clinical performance to hand table-toppers Sri Lanka Air Force Sports Club their first defeat of the season at the Havelock Grounds.

The Pink Army struck first after sustained early pressure, with Janidu Wijerathna finishing out wide following strong forward work. Samuel Maduwantha added a penalty before Abdullah Faiz powered over just before the break to give the hosts a commanding halftime cushion.
Air Force enjoyed a spell of pressure early in the second half and crossed through Nisal Asalanka after a TMO review, but missed opportunities off the tee proved costly. Havelock sealed the contest when Yehan Bulathsinghelage capitalised on a penalty advantage, collecting a deft chip kick to score under the posts.
Despite pushing hard late on in search of a bonus-point try, the hosts were denied by the TMO, but still emerged deserved winners to keep their title hopes firmly alive.

CR & FC Return to Winning Ways in Emphatic Style

CR & FC delivered one of the most emphatic performances of the season, overwhelming Navy Sports Club with a ten-try demolition at Welisara.
After Lasindu Karunathilake opened the scoring from close range, the Red Shirts dominated through their powerful forward pack and slick backline movement. Tries flowed freely through Senal Adikaram, Senura Perera, Venura Kodagoda, Nirosh Perera, Charith Silva, Naveen Marasinghe and Hashan Madumadhava as CR & FC secured the bonus point well before halftime.

Despite Navy enjoying a brief revival late in the contest, CR & FC never loosened their grip, with Manilka Ruberu orchestrating play superbly to guide the visitors to a statement win ahead of a crucial Week 7 clash.

Police Register First Win with Ruthless Display
Full Time: Siri Lions Sports Club 07 – Police Sports Club 43
Police Sports Club finally opened their account in the league with a commanding seven-try victory over Siri Lions at Longdon Place.
After a cagey opening, the Cops found their rhythm through a rolling maul try by Vihanga Shaveen before running in three more tries before halftime. Vihanga Pivithuru was outstanding, excelling both defensively and in attack as Police built a commanding lead.

The visitors continued their dominance after the break with further tries from Vimukthi Perera and Danushka Edirisuriya, effectively sealing the contest by the 55th minute. Siri Lions managed a solitary response, but Police had the final say with Rukshan Madusanka crossing late to cap off a comprehensive performance.

CH & FC Stun Champions Kandy with Epic Late Comeback

CH & FC produced one of the comebacks of the season, clawing their way back from a 19-point deficit to force a dramatic draw against defending champions Kandy Sports Club at a rain-soaked Nittawela Stadium.
The visitors struck early through Janith Chandimal, but Kandy responded with authority, building a 17–5 halftime lead through their dominant forwards and precise execution. When Dilshan Fareed crossed again shortly after the break, extending the lead to 24–5, the contest appeared beyond CH’s reach.

However, CH showed remarkable resilience. Pulasthi Dassanayake sparked the revival before replacement centre Koli Tomanikalu thundered through the midfield to bring the visitors back into contention.
In a breathtaking finale, CH earned repeated scrum penalties deep inside Kandy territory. With the champions reduced to 14 men, referee Gihan Yatawara awarded a penalty try in the final moments, silencing the Nittawela crowd and sealing a memorable draw.
