Everything you need to know about the groups, teams, fixtures and structure of the Super 12 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 goes up a gear on Saturday (22nd October), as the Super 12 stage kicks off with a mouth-watering double-header that sees four Group 1 teams start their campaigns.

The final groups were not settled until the last day of the first round with Zimbabwe’s win over Scotland earning them the second qualifying spot from Group B, entering Group 2 alongside India, Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh and Group A runner-up Netherlands.

Sri Lanka, who topped Group A, go into Group 1 alongside England, Australia, New Zealand, Afghanistan and Group B runner-up Ireland.

With 12 teams having their places confirmed in Super 12 stage, the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 will come to the business end with only the top two from each group to reach the semi-finals.

The Super 12 stage will get underway in Sydney tomorrow (22nd October), with the Group 1 contest to occur between Australia and New Zealand. There will be 30 matches played in Super 12 stage followed by the two semi-finals and the final.
