Organized by Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association (SLSRFA) All Island Division 1- Under 18 Rugby Sevens will be worked out on the 4th & 5th of March 2023 in Kandy with the participation of 32 top ranked school’s teams in the island.
Teams will be divided into eight groups which will consist of four teams in a group. The first round of the competition will be seeing the teams compete in round robin basis with the each team playing three games in the first day.
Top ranked teams of each group will proceed to Cup quarterfinals on day 02 with the winners progressing to Cup semifinals while the losers through to the Plate semifinals. Second seeds of each group will proceed to Bowl quarterfinals with the third seeds qualifying for the Shield quarters. Bottom ranked teams of each group will be eliminated from the competition.
Organizers have decided to use two venues for the first day (4th March) with games being held at the Trinity College Rugby Stadium, Pallekele for Groups A, B, C & D and Bogambara Stadium hosting the games of Groups E,F,G & H.
