The Shakthi All Island Powerlifting Championships are scheduled to take place on Saturday, the 1st of August at The Maithree Hall in Bandaragama.
Contestants will be featured in several categories. They are as follows:
The men’s event will be contested in the 53kg, 59kg, 66kg, 74kg, 83kg, 93kg, and 105kg while the women’s categories will be 43kg, 47kg, 52kg, 57kg, 63kg, 72kg, 84kg
Several renowned teams are expected to participate in this national event, including the Airforce, Army and Navy teams.
Unfortunately the tournament organizers have not been able to secure a sponsor for the event. Mr. D. A. Abeyrathne will grace the occasion as Chief Guest.
