The National Cricket Selection Committee has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026, with regular skipper Chamari Athapaththu set to continue leading the side.
Three players who were part of Sri Lanka’s squad for the recently concluded T20I series against Pakistan have been left out of the Asia Cup squad. Nimasha Meepage, Malki Madara and Rashmika Sewwandi have made way for Dewmi Vihanga, Chethana Vimukthi and Mithali Ayodya.

Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026 will be held in the UAE from 28th August to 13th September. Sri Lanka will take on Bangladesh, UAE and Indonesia in the first round of the tournament.
