Sri Lanka Cricket has announced a strong 15-member Sri Lanka ‘A’ squad for the upcoming Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 T20 Cricket Tournament, scheduled to be held in Qatar from 14th to 23rd November.
The left-arm spinning all-rounder Dunith Wellalage has been appointed as the captain of the side, bringing both experience and balance to the young outfit.
Pramod Madushan will join the team following the completion of the ongoing ODI series of the National Team against Pakistan.

The tournament will feature the best emerging talents from across Asia, providing a key platform for future international stars to showcase their skills.
Sri Lanka ‘A’ have been placed in Group A, alongside Afghanistan ‘A’, Bangladesh ‘A’, and Hong Kong China. Meanwhile, Group B consists of India ‘A’, Pakistan ‘A’, UAE, and Oman.

The Lankan team will kick off their campaign with a challenging clash against Afghanistan ‘A’ on 15th November, before facing the remaining group opponents in their quest for a semifinal berth.
