The first four-day game between Sri Lanka Emerging Team and West Indies Academy Team commenced yesterday (8th June) at Coolidge Cricket Grounds. 

After been put into bat first, the visitors managed to post 292 runs with the wicket-keeper batter Sohan de Livera notching up a brilliant century.

Livera made 130 runs off 110 balls with 15 fours and 2 sixes at a strike rate of 118. The opening batter Shevon Daniel also contributed with useful 47 runs. 

Kelvin Pitman produced a mesmerizing spell with the ball to scalp 7 wickets for 28 runs for the hosts.

In reply, West Indies Academy Team posted 34 runs for 1 wicket at the close of play on Day 1.
