Over 50’s Men’s World Cup

The 2nd edition of the Over 50’s Men’s World Cup will be held from 11-24 March in South Africa, the Sri Lankan team will leave the Island for the event on the 08th of March.

Sri Lanka is placed in group “B” alongside Australia, New Zealand, West Indies, Canada and Zimbabwe in the 12-team tournament.

Over 50’s Men’s Cricket World CupSri Lanka squad will be led by former Peterite Senarath Seneviratne and Shane Fernando will be the vice-Captain of the team. Tournament opener for Sri Lanka will be against Canada on 11th March at the Western Province Cricket ground.

The inaugural over 50’s World Cup was played in Australia in 2018 and Sri Lanka ended the tournament as the 5th team. Over 50’s Men’s World Cup is a biennial event.
