Windies to tour Sri Lanka in February

The schedule for the West Indies Men’s tour of Sri Lanka in February/March 2020 has been announced. 

The West Indies National Team will arrive in Sri Lanka on the 10th of February 2020 to play 03 ODIs and 02 T20I games.

Sri Lanka recorded their 3rd win out of their 6 completed matches (2 washouts) when they defeated….

The first ODI will be played at the SSC ground and the second one in Mahinda Rajapaksha ICS, Hambantota. The final ODI and both T20Is are scheduled to take place at Pallekele ICS, Kandy.

West Indies will arrive early in order to prepare for the series and the initial warm-up game (17th February). They will be be part of its preparation efforts before the tour officially commences with the warm-Up Game with the Board President’s XI, which is to be played on the 20th of February 2020.

When the West Indians last toured Sri Lanka they were whitewashed 3-0 by the host, and currently sit at 9th position in the ICC ODI rankings, one spot behind Sri Lanka.

22nd February – 01st ODI  – SSC (Day)
26th February – 02nd ODI –  Hambantota (D/N)
01st March – 03rd ODI –  Pallekele  (D/N)
04th March – 01st T20 – Pallekele  (D/N)
06th March – 02nd T20 – Pallekele  (D/N)
