The 15th edition of the Vijayabahu Motocross, organized by the Vijayabahu Infantry regiment  together with Sri Lanka Racing Riders Association (SLRRA) will be held on the 02nd of April 2017 at the Boyagane track situated at the regimental premises in Boyagane, Kurunegala.

Boyagane considered one of the most challenging tracks in the country consists of 12 corners, 09 double jumps and 06 table tops all inside a 2.1km track which provides riders with a test of their stamina and concentration to be able to successfully complete a Moto.  In a track which includes plenty of difficult jumps riders will be awarded for the longest jump at the competition apart from the “Army Commander Challenge Trophy” which will be presented to the rider who accumulates the highest number of points at the rally and the rider who will accumulate the highest number of points in the 250cc category will be awarded the Regimental Challenge Trophy.

Having being the first competition to award monetary rewards to motorcyclist in the country, the organizers will be awarding cash rewards for 01st to 5th place finishers in all 9 races. Over 80 local and international riders are set to grace the gravel at Boyagane.

The motor sporting enthusiast will be treated to an exemplary view of the design of the track which provides an overlooking view of the entire track from all angles which serves for brilliant viewing for all spectators.
