The Under 16 fifteen-a-side rugby final series which was postponed due to injuries to players is set to return on the 18th, 19th and 20th as the quarter finals get underway.

The games are scheduled to be played at the Race Course International Stadium in Colombo 07 following the halt.

Richmond College made their way through, joining as the qualifying team from Galle while Kingswood and Trinity College made it from Kandy. The teams from the Western Province were Isipathana, Lumbini and Science along with D. S. Senanayake College and St. John’s College Nugegoda.

The finals series was brought to a halt due to players being injured following the annual under 16 tens tournament. However now the organizers have decided to recommence the tournament with the quarter finals stage.

The quarter finals are to be played on the 18th, 19th and 20th while the semi-finals will be on the 25th of September.

The draw for the quarter finals is yet to be released. Meanwhile, following the semi-finals, the grand final will be played on the 30th of September at the same venue.
