St. Joseph’s Girls’ School, Nugegoda emerged champions of the All Island under-19 ‘A’ Division Basketball Tournament a few days ago. St. Joseph’s beat Holy Family Convent in the grand final worked off at British School premises. The final score was 46-43.
St. Joseph’s had a shaky start to the competition losing their group match to Holy Family Convent, Bambalapitiya, but recovered to defeat Ave Maria Convent, Negombo and Kandy High School before beating Good Shepherd Convent in the semi-final.
Good Shepherd settled for third place.
